NSW Emergency Services Levy

On 30 May 2017, the NSW Government announced that it would defer until further notice the replacement of the New South Wales Emergency Services Levy (ESL) with an Emergency Services Property Levy (ESPL) to be paid alongside council rates.

The NSW Government has since passed the Emergency Services Levy Bill 2017 requiring insurers to collect the Emergency Service Levy on insurance premiums.
